Customers agree after meeting Shirley: they've never met someone quite like her. Driven by her unbridled passion for fine jewelry and continiously in awe of and inspired by nature's creations she endeavors to bring out the most striking attributes of any precious or semi precious stone. First pencil sketching her design, Shirley then turns to CAD software to finalize her concepts in vivid 3D computer graphics. This enables her to visualize her design in minute detail. Next, she creates a wax carved model of the final product. Only then, she sets out to manufacture the finished piece by hand. While in essence her artistic creations are “one of a kind,” featuring fossils, minerals and gemstones, some designs may be recreated on demand, always with the most care, but also with subtle differences as nature dictates that no two creations can ever be alike (therefore, your ordered piece may vary slightly from the image depicted online).

While still a student, Shirley decided to drop her study of psychology in favor of a career in the jewelry industry. She spent several years designing and purchasing for major jewelry chains and manufacturers, while continuing her studies in gemology and design. Her love of nature is evident in her innovative ideas and unique use of materials, and has brought her numerous awards and recognition. Shirley’s final creations are achieved with a combined use of lost wax casting and fabrication. Her primary metals are 14kt and 18kt white and yellow gold, with an occasional hint of fine silver now and then.
